I second that request. I have to bounce back and forth between the built in editor and Notepad++.
Then again if I had the time to figure out how to make a custom plugin/template for Notepad ++ I would just use that.

Hi Moray,
We'll look into keeping track of the Line Numbers your at.
Did you know you can right-click on the screen and select Show
Line Numbers?

Is there any chance the C Program screen could have
the ability that each tab/thread/page/whatever you want
to call them, remembers where they were scrolled to?
I've just started to work on the required programs
for my mill, and have just been reminded about the fact
the editor resets to the top of the file each time
you select a different thread. It get's a bit annoying
when I'm switching between files/threads to check/edit
things, and I have to keep scrolling back down to the
bit I need.
Oh, and is there any way you could add a line number
box somewhere?
If an error in an included file gets flagged up, I
either need to manually count the lines in the problem
file, or load it into notepad++ to locate the problem
line.
Thanks,
Moray

Hi Moray,
It seems to be working and should be in the next Release.

Thanks Tom.
And no, I never realised you could turn on line numbers by right clicking. Would it be worth having them turned on as the default option?
Thanks, Moray

Hi Moray,
Once Show Line Numbers is selected it should persist forever.

Hi Tom,
thanks for adding the editor view memorization. Regarding the line numbers, I was meaning to have them displayed by default when KMotion is installed.
Another thing I thought about earlier, was would it be possible to add the ability to add a user action to the Single Step button?
On my lathe, I rely on a C program assigned to the user action for the cycle start button, which prevents code from running if certain conditions have not been met (machine homed, and tool changer initialised). As I discovered when originally setting the lathe up a couple years ago, the Single Step button bypasses those checks, which thankfully only caused me some head scratching at the time, but could of potentially caused some damage. It would be good to be able to apply checks when using the Single Step button.
Thanks, Moray

Hi Moray,
How about having the same Action performed on Single Step as with
Cycle Start? Can you think of any reason someone would want them
to be different?

Hi Tom,
I did think about that option, and it would work fine for me. I have been thinking there may be some situation where somebody may want to do something a bit different between Cycle Start and Single Step, but I'm struggling to think of anything.
Thanks, Moray
